Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Tarboro, Nashville, Wilson, Mount Olive, Elm City, Fremont, Dortches, and Walnut Creek. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. These showers may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Flood Advisory issued May 14 at 8:31PM EDT until May 14 at 10:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Warren and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 829 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - They heaviest rain is falling over Wilson and Edgecombe Counties, moving east-northeast. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rocky Mount, Roanoke Rapids, Tarboro, Nashville, Halifax, Wilson, Scotland Neck, Elm City, Dortches, Littleton, Bailey, Red Oak, Enfield, Princeville, Sharpsburg, Weldon, Pinetops, Kenly, Lucama and Stantonsburg. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Slow down and use caution while driving to avoid hydroplaning.
