yellow watch - severe thunderstorm - in effect Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Timing: Late this evening. Location: Eastern Saskatchewan into western Manitoba. Hazards: - 2 to 4 cm hail. - 30 to 60 mm of rainfall, locally. - Gusty winds. Remarks: Thunderstorms continue this evening over parts of central Saskatchewan and western Manitoba. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe. The thunderstorm threat will diminish late this evening. ### Fast-moving and rapidly rising water can sweep vehicles away and damage infrastructure. Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Strong wind gusts can damage trees, buildings and overturn vehicles. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
