Flood Warning issued June 28 at 9:11AM CDT until June 29 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of south central Kansas, including the following county, Kingman. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams and lakes continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 909 AM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing flooding in the warned area. - No additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kingman, Norwich, Cunningham, Nashville, Murdock, Waterloo, Willowdale, Zenda, Spivey, Cleveland, Penalosa, Kingman Airport, Rago, Mt Vernon, Cheney Lake and Cheney State Park. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
