Southern York County in southwestern Maine... Central Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire... Southeastern Strafford County in central New Hampshire... * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 613 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Raymond, or 9 miles south of Northwood, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Rochester, Portsmouth, Hampton, Durham, Exeter, Kittery, Northwood, Dover, Somersworth, Barrington, Berwick, Epping, Brentwood, Greenland, Kennebunkport, South Berwick, Raymond, York, Newington, and Rye. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 1 and 18. Interstate 95 in New Hampshire between mile markers 5 and 16. This also includes... York Beach, Ogunquit Beach, and Wells Beach. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for southwestern Maine...and central and southern New Hampshire.
