Flood Watch issued May 2 at 12:04AM CDT until May 2 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of North and Central Texas, including the following counties: Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Ellis, Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Kaufman, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Mills, Navarro, Anderson, Henderson, Leon, Van Zandt, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches. Also continue to monitor for additional warnings should they be issued, especially in areas that have already seen excessive rainfall totals over the last 12 to 24 hours. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
